Once upon a time there was a country which was led by king lizard who had two beautiful daughters but no villager knew their names so when they were of age of getting married the king arranged a meeting where he gave the announcement saying Anyone who would be my daughters’ name I will get them married and to each of my child I will give a bag of gold.
People struggled to know the name of the daughters of the king but they did not get any success but there was one clever monkey who said to himself I want to marry the princesses and get the two bags of gold and I think I just know how.
First, he went to look at how the princesses spend their day and he found out they had the same habit of sitting under a mango tree near the stream. So he went to buy two big ripe mangoes and then covered them with honey then the next day he went to the tree where the king’s daughters spent their day he waited for fifteen minutes then the older sister went to the tree the monkey dropped one mango, the old princess heard it drop, pick it up and tasted it then she called his younger sister ‘’Janet Janet come and see a wonderful mango’ ’so the monkey waiting for the other daughter to come then he dropped the other fruit, she picked it up tasted it then called’’ Jennifer Jennifer come and see I have found another wonderful mango’’ so the monkey was able to know their names.
During that time there a very important custom where nobody was allowed to talk to the king face to face but only Red neck Lizard was allowed. So the monkey went to red neck Lizard house and told him his problem and they decided they would go tomorrow to see the king.
The day came and they went to the king house and the red neck lizard told king there is monkey who wants to tell you something the king said okay am listening, red neck Lizard said to the monkey ok tell me what you want to say so I can tell my king, the monkey said I want to marry the princesses I know their names, red neck Lizard repeated to the king, the king asked with angriness what are their names? Monkey said to the red neck lizard “their names are Jennifer and Janet”, red neck Lizard reply again to the King. suddenly the king said to the monkey with a louder voice that he promises to give his daughters to anyone who tells him their name, so the one who told him was not a monkey but the red neck so the king started the preparations for the marriage. The monkey was so angry so he prepared for the revenge.
The king had very big cock which crowed loudly than any other cock, cooked it and ate it, Monkey took to the dustbin the feathers and bones then He went to red necks house quietly he put them under red necks Lizard bed then he made little noise which awakened red neck Lizard with fear, then monkey said don’t worry its only me I have brought you beer to drink so you will feel good, but it was not beer it was boiled water which burned the Lizard’s neck and makes a Lizard not talk but only nod his head so the monkey was happy that he fulfilled his revenge and that’s why Lizard nod their head up today.
